By creating an account or using My Movement Lab, on the website mymovementlab.fit or in the My Movement Lab apps for iPhone and Android, you agree to these Terms.

Who We Are

My Movement Lab is operated as a sole trader (ZZP/eenmanszaak) under Dutch law, Amsterdam, Netherlands. Contact: info@mymovementlab.fit

What My Movement Lab Is

An educational platform offering gamified Pilates learning content including quizzes, flashcards, and study tools for personal educational use. My Movement Lab is independent and not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to any Pilates certification body or organization.

Your Account

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Keep login credentials secure
  • No account sharing
  • No multiple accounts to circumvent the free tier
  • We may suspend accounts that violate these terms

For security, sessions are automatically terminated after 30 days of inactivity.

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. See How to Delete Your Account in our Privacy Policy. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought in the app (see Cancellation below).

Free and Pro

  • Free: 3 lives/day (each wrong answer costs one), sessions of 10 questions, progressive unlock through the History & Philosophy, Principles, Anatomy, and Breathing modules
  • Pro: all modules, unlimited lives and questions, all study tools and games
  • Extra Lives: 5 additional lives for the current day, one-time purchase (free users only)

Where to Buy

Pro subscriptions and Extra Lives are sold only inside the My Movement Lab apps, through Apple's App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android). They are not sold on the website. Once bought, Pro also works when you sign in to the website with the same My Movement Lab account.

  • Pro Monthly: renews automatically every month
  • Pro 3 Months: renews automatically every 3 months
  • Pro Annual: renews automatically every year
  • Extra Lives: one-time purchase, never renews

The price for your country and currency is shown in the app before you buy. In the Netherlands, for reference: €14.99 per month, €34.99 per 3 months, €99.99 per year, and €1.49 for 5 Extra Lives, VAT included. We may run limited-time offers, such as a reduced price for the first year. The offer price, its duration and the regular price after it are always shown in the app before you buy.

Apple or Google is the seller of record for these purchases. They take the payment, charge VAT and manage your subscription, under their own terms (the Apple Media Services Terms or the Google Play Terms of Service). These Terms apply to your use of My Movement Lab itself.

Your subscription renews automatically at the same price unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The renewal is charged to your Apple ID or Google account within the 24 hours before the period ends. If we ever change the price, Apple or Google will tell you in advance, and where the law or the store requires it, ask for your agreement.

Free access codes that we give out (for example to studios or partners) are redeemed on the website, on the Upgrade page. They do not work inside the apps.

Cancellation

You can cancel a subscription at any time in your store account. We cannot cancel it for you, because Apple and Google manage the billing.

Cancelling stops the next renewal. It does not remove access you have already paid for: Pro continues until the end of the current period, and no further charges are made after that.

Deleting the app or your My Movement Lab account does not cancel the subscription. Please cancel it in your store account first.

Refunds and Right of Withdrawal

Because Apple and Google take the payment, refunds for purchases made in the apps are handled by them, under their refund policies. We cannot issue these refunds ourselves.

If you live in the EU, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services and digital content. For purchases in the apps, you exercise it with Apple or Google, using the links above. Where a refund is granted, the related Pro access or lives are removed from your account.

If you need help with a refund request, or something went wrong with a purchase, email info@mymovementlab.fit and we will help you.

Nothing in this section limits any mandatory consumer right you have under EU or Dutch law. Where these Terms and mandatory law differ, mandatory law prevails.

Suspension and Discontinuation of the Service

My Movement Lab may suspend, discontinue, or permanently cease operating the service, or any part of it, temporarily or permanently, for any reason. This includes business, technical, operational, legal, security, or financial reasons. We will use reasonable efforts to give you notice where practicable.

If we permanently shut down the paid subscription service, we will inform affected active subscribers in advance where reasonably possible. In that event:

  • We will stop offering new subscriptions and make sure no further renewals are charged after the termination date.
  • Where appropriate, affected active subscribers can obtain a pro-rata refund for any prepaid unused portion of the subscription period, through Apple or Google, subject to applicable mandatory consumer law.

This clause does not remove or limit any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you under applicable law, including EU and Dutch consumer-protection law. If you believe your mandatory rights have not been respected, please contact us at info@mymovementlab.fit.

We may also suspend or terminate an individual account where permitted under these Terms, such as for serious breach, fraud, abuse, or security concerns. Where an individual paid subscription is terminated by us for reasons other than your breach, any remaining prepaid period will be handled in line with applicable mandatory consumer law.

Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Copy, scrape, crawl, mine, or otherwise extract content from the platform by automated or bulk means, including for the purpose of training, fine-tuning, or evaluating any AI or machine-learning model
  • Reproduce, redistribute, publish, or make content from the platform available to any third party, in whole or in part, in any format
  • Use the platform, or content obtained from it, to build, train, or improve a competing product or service
  • Remove, obscure, or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notice
  • Share account credentials
  • Use automated tools to manipulate progress, XP, streaks, or badges

Intellectual Property

My Movement Lab, the My Movement Lab name and logo, the platform, and all quizzes, flashcards, exercise descriptions, cueing language, sequencing logic, illustrations, and other original written or visual material made available through the platform (the "MML Content") are the property of My Movement Lab or its licensors, protected by copyright, database, trademark, and other applicable intellectual property laws. MML Content is based on general Pilates knowledge and principles that are not themselves owned by anyone, but is presented, organized, and expressed in an original form created by My Movement Lab.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the MML Content for your own personal educational use. No other rights are granted. You may not reproduce, copy, distribute, publicly display, publicly perform, sell, license, sublicense, or create derivative works from any MML Content, in whole or in part, without our prior written permission.

Content you create. If you create or upload your own content through the platform ("Your Content"), you retain ownership of Your Content. By submitting Your Content you grant My Movement Lab a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, and display it back to you solely to operate and provide the platform to you. We do not claim ownership of Your Content and do not use it to train AI models. You are responsible for having the rights to anything you upload.

Unauthorized use and remedies. Unauthorized copying, scraping, reproduction, or redistribution of MML Content is a breach of these Terms and may infringe our intellectual property rights. We reserve the right to take action in response, which may include suspending or terminating the responsible account, requesting takedown of infringing copies, and pursuing any legal remedy available to us under applicable law. If you become aware of MML Content being copied or published without authorization, please tell us at info@mymovementlab.fit.

Physical activity risk: Pilates and physical exercise carry inherent risk of injury. Consult a physician before beginning any exercise program, especially if you are pregnant, recovering from injury, or have a pre-existing health condition. You are solely responsible for practicing within your own physical limits and under qualified in-person supervision when appropriate. My Movement Lab is not liable for injuries resulting from performing exercises described or generated on this platform.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, My Movement Lab's total liability to you arising from your use of the service is limited to the total amount you paid for My Movement Lab in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Apps from the App Store and Google Play

If you use the iPhone app downloaded from Apple's App Store, the following also applies:

  • These Terms are between you and My Movement Lab only, not with Apple. My Movement Lab, not Apple, is responsible for the app and its content.
  • Your licence to use the app is limited to Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. Please contact us for support.
  • If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
  • My Movement Lab, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer protection or privacy claims.
  • If a third party claims that the app infringes their intellectual property rights, My Movement Lab, not Apple, is responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of that claim.
  • You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and Apple may enforce them against you.

If you use the Android app from Google Play, Google is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the app or its content.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. If we make a meaningful change, we will update the date at the top and tell you in the app or by email before it applies. If you do not agree with the new Terms, you can stop using My Movement Lab, cancel your subscription and delete your account.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of My Movement Lab is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. If you are a consumer living in another EU country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country, and you may bring a claim in the courts where you live.
